Members of the ISG MBA teaching faculty are rigorously selected according to their top academic qualifications and rich professional backgrounds. Most teachers are flown in from North America, other parts of Europe or the Middle East for their seminars and then return to their respective careers running their companies, occupying top positions in international firms or doing research.

Professors of the International MBA

Professors at ISG are rigorously selected worldwide from among the best consults and professionals in their fields. The following biographies represent this year’s outstanding faculty.


Bob van den Brand holds a Ph.D and Masters of Science in Accounting from the University of Tilburg (Netherlands). He is the coordinator of the Financial Management Group at the Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), where he also lectures in International Finance and Accounting. Dr. van den Brand’s research interests are in finacial reporting, earnings measurement, and accounting in international contexts. He has received several awards for his teaching at Erasmus University and the University of Tilburg.


W. Glenn Smith, Franco-American Ecological Anthropologist, holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and PhD from EHESS (Paris) and Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands). He has consulted and published extensively on issues of sustainable development, migration, deforestation and conflict recovery for the Indonesian Government, UNDP and the World Bank in Indonesia, and on peacebuilding and education for UNICEF in East Africa. Glenn notably developed tools for accurate measurement of time allocation and applied them to quantify returns to labor investments in an Indonesian agricultural context. His current teaching interests are in CSR & ethics, intercultural management and research methodology.


Matthew Fraser holds a D.E.A and Ph.D in political science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiaues de Paris and completed post graduate studies at Oxford University, London School of Economics, and Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne). Currently a research fellow at INSEAD and Adjunct Professor at the American University of Paris, he has had an extensive career in journalism, government, and academia, including as a television host and Editor in Chief for the National Post in Canada. He is the author of a number of books including Throwing Sheep into the Boardroom: How Social Networking Will Transform your Life, Work and World and Weapons of Mass Distraction: Soft Power and American Empire.


At Ecole des Hautes Etudes, France, Armoogum Sawmy completed his 3rd cycle thesis. Accounting for more than 40 years experience in the field, he has crossed most of the Frontiers from the East of Asia to West Of United states. As an international consultant, he ran missions for UNESCO in Russia, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and India. This has shaped his understanding and passions of norms and value systems from the Ural mountains to the Pacific reefs. Later on, as sales manager representing a US computer vendor, he operated in most of the member countries of European Union. This opened nurtured the mind of how to manage people’s know-how ranging from local to global cultures. With the advent of Globalization en 1995, he focused his research on the emerging countries to which he is emotionally and culturally attached: India, China, South Africa, Brazil. Emirates and Mexico are likely to join the batch of Four. He finally ran his own Business outsourcing to India. He is, now, a free-lance lecturer in France, Spain, India and Brazil Business Schools.


Jean-François Gagne is currently a full-time member of the research faculty at ISG. He holds a Ph.D in Organizational Behavior from the University of Paris, Dauphine. He has worked as a consultant for Gemini Consulting and IGA – his assignments have dealt with operational performance improvement, product and brand launch, industrial strategy, company transformation and empoyee mobilization. Research interests include Organizational Change, Corporate Identity and Culture and Mobilization, Commitment and Resistance.


He hold a Ph.d. in Management from the University of London, focusing on Social Enterprises. He has worked extensively in the UK Universities and French Grande Ecoles. He works as a visiting lecturer at a number of institutions including University of Fribourg, Manchester Metropolitan University, Anglia Ruskin University. He has wide experience of international accreditation, AACSB/EQUIS/EPAS, including working as an external examiner in the UK at South Bank University, Sheffield Hallam and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. His teaching areas are Marketing and Strategy.


After co-creating the first International Festival & TV Program market for Children’s Television (FIMAJ), and running her own company in the early 90s, Lyndi van der Hout subsequently worked as an agent for one of the leading US talent agencies (ICM). She established the ICM France subsidiary while managing the pan-European careers of over 60 Paris-based directors, writers and actors. She then moved into the field of executive search and HR development in the IT and high-tech world, applying the acquired creative management skills to the corporate environment. She holds a BA in International Business Administration (Honors) from AUP in Paris, and is currently completing a post-graduate degree in Work Psychology, specializing in the psychological processes of creativity in the workplace.


Dr. Robert Crane holds his doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel. He is former Director of International Affairs at AACSB, former Dean and CEO at the International Management Center in Budapest, and former Associate Director of Executive Education at the J.L. Kellogg School of Management. He is currently publishing a book series with Palgrave-Macmillan in London on Cross Cultural Management and is Visiting Professor at Tashkent State University in Uzbekistan and the Romanian-American University in Bucharest in Romania.


Rosana Silveira REIS has 32 years of experience in HRM, 15 of them she had been a Manager in large companies in Brazil. She has developed an Academic and administrative career and leaded several projects in that realm. She was responsible for developed MBAs in companies, design and coordinated of Executive Education Courses, seminaries, and workshops. In 2000 she received her Scientific Master’s in Business Administration from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) and in 2010, her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna (Italy). She has spent six years in Italy, and in the last nine years in France where she is currently an Associate Professor at ISG - Paris. She is also an Invited Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC in Brazil, at IMPS Business School in Brno (Czech Republic), and in Italy at University of Bologna and at University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome. In her research, she is working in the cross-border of Organization Behaviour, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. Her focus is on Ecosystems of Innovation, Culture, Creativity in Global Teams and Leadership


Leslie Shaw holds a Ph.D and B.A. from Trinity College at the University of Dublin. He has been a Visiting Professor at the George Washington University, Trinity College at the University of Dublin, Ecole National d’Administration, and la Sorbonne. His most recent research in Negotiation Strategy and Styles has been published in Business Digest (2004) and the Financial Times (2002). He is also a consultant to many corporations including Aérospatiale, Alcatel IT, Thomson, Hewlett-Packard, and Eurosport.


Danny Abramovich are graduated from Lausanne Hotel School, Switzerland, and achieved his MBA in EM Lyon, France, one of the leading academic institutions in Europe in entrepreneurship studies. He has funded Marketing 2 Go Ltd. (2000), a marketing consultancy firm specialized in the service industries. More recently, Danny has funded marketingPlanNOW, a marketing-oriented start-up (MarTech) that will serve SMEs as their virtual marketing manager. As an international lecturer, Danny delivers his practical marketing approach to new ventures and business professionals as well as Master/ MBA students in seven countries so far. Among Danny’s list of academic institutions are LUISS Business School Rome, Steinbeis University Berlin, and ISG Paris.


Dennis P. Contreras is a financial advisor, business developer and partner of several start-ups in finance and digital social businesses.   He is a Wall Street veteran working in various fields such as asset management, private equity and venture capital.   Industry of interest are: education, renewable energy, fashion, infrastructure and healthcare.  He has worked and advised several clients in CAC40, NYSE and NASDAQ.  He holds an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a master’s in Environmental Engineering and Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College.  He has over 25 years of experience working in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe.  He teaches management finance and coaching missions.   He resides in Paris and enjoys in changing the world through innovation and using digital education and artificial intelligence.


Emmanuel R uimy is experienced in Business Development and Entrepreneurship in a wide range of sectors, from High-tech to more traditional general sectors such as Automotive and Real Estate. He has worked as Manager in Commercial and Marketing Divisions for Bull US, Renault SA and Bouygues Telecom in US, Tunisia, Russia and Europe. For 15 years he has co-developed a mobile application related to real estate and founded and managed a real estate management fund. He holds a Master in Science in Management and Policy from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Emmanuel has taught Operational Marketing, e-Business and Entrepreneurship in ISG and Sup Internet Bachelor and Master degrees.
